Editorial note: this is a general guide to Cluster Pays slots at Fortune Games. Slot rules, features and RTP can vary between operators and game versions, so always check each game's information panel before you spin. Slots are games of chance — nothing here is a prediction of results, and no strategy changes the odds.
Cluster Pays Slots
A Cluster Pays slot has no paylines: it pays when enough matching symbols touch one another on a grid, side by side or up and down. Our guides credit games of this kind to Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Hacksaw Gaming, Big Time Gaming, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Playtech and Microgaming. Our guides to Cluster Pays slots we stock are listed below.

What makes a Cluster Pays slot
Instead of reading lines from left to right, the game checks the whole grid for groups of identical symbols that are joined horizontally or vertically. Diagonal contact does not count, as our Fruity Burst guide points out. Five is the usual minimum, as in Sugar Rush 1000, Le Bandit and Fruit Party, but Rich Wilde and the Tome of Madness pays for four and Aloha! Cluster Pays needs nine. A larger group pays more than a smaller one.
Once a cluster has paid, its symbols are cleared and new ones fall into the gaps. Our guides call this tumbling, cascading or Rolling Reels, and it repeats for as long as fresh groups form, so a single paid spin can hold a chain of wins. Many of these games also count the symbols cleared during that chain. The Quantum Leap meter in Reactoonz, the Magic Potion Meter in Alchemy Fortunes and the portal in Tome of Madness each unlock extra features as they fill.
How Cluster Pays slots differ
Grid size is the first difference. Fruity Burst from Playtech deals 25 fruits on a five-by-five board and has no wilds, scatters or free spins. Some grids change shape mid-spin: in Star Clusters Megaclusters each winning symbol splits into four smaller copies, so the opening 4x4 grid can reach 64 positions in the base game, while Cubes adds a ring of cubes after a win and can grow from 5x5 to 11x11. Honey Rush swaps squares for a honeycomb of hexagonal cells, in rows of four to seven.
Multipliers are handled in several ways. In Sugar Rush 1000, a second explosion on a marked spot adds a x2 multiplier that doubles with each further explosion there, up to x1,024, and during free spins the marked spots stay on the grid. In Harvest Wilds, seeds grow into Sunflower wilds worth up to x4 each, and when several join the same win their values multiply together, up to x256. In Cubes, a cluster in the colour of the centre cube is multiplied by the number of cubes in it, up to 22x.
Not every game has a free spins round. Honey Rush and Harvest Wilds play out all their features on paid spins, and Star Clusters Megaclusters gives free spins for five Reactions in one spin rather than for scatters. Our guides rate Star Clusters Megaclusters medium to high volatility and Harvest Wilds high, and the stated maximum wins run from 3,000x stake in Cubes to 25,000x in Sugar Rush 1000. These are upper limits, not predictions.

Frequently asked questions
What are Cluster Pays slots?
They are grid slots that pay for groups of matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically, rather than for symbols on paylines. Most clear each winning group so new symbols can drop in and form more.
Which Cluster Pays slots can I play at Fortune Games?
Our lobby includes Sugar Rush 1000, Star Clusters Megaclusters, Reactoonz and Le Bandit, among others. The A to Z list above links to every Cluster Pays slot we have a guide for.
Do Cluster Pays slots give a better chance of winning?
No. Every slot is a game of chance, each spin's result is random, and the RTP is shown in each game's information panel.
