Wild Frames is a Play’n GO grid slot released in December 2019 that dresses modern cluster pays in classic casino symbols. Bells, stars, diamonds, lucky 7s and card suits pay in clusters on a 7x7 grid, and every wild leaves a sticky frame behind. How Wild Frames plays
There are no paylines. Five or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically make a cluster win, the cluster vanishes, and new symbols fall into the space, so a single spin can cascade several times.
Wilds are the source of the frames. When a wild lands, its square is marked with a frame that stays until the cascades stop and the next spin begins. If another wild later drops into a framed square, the frame gains a multiplier, which is added to any cluster that wild becomes part of. A spin that wins nothing can still receive 4 to 6 random wilds.
The Charge Meter and the Wild Frames feature
Every symbol cleared in a winning cluster adds one charge to the meter beside the grid, and each threshold unlocks a modifier in turn:
- 20 charges, Transform: all the high-paying symbols change into one matching high-paying symbol.
- 40 charges, Wildcard: 3 to 6 wilds are dropped onto the grid.
- 60 charges, Shatter: every low-paying card suit is removed and the grid cascades again.
- 80 charges, Wild Frames: all the frames built up during the spin activate, and the symbols inside them become wild.
The meter, the frames and their multipliers all reset when the next spin starts, and there is no free spins round to carry anything over. That makes every spin a self-contained run: the longer its cascades last, the further up the meter it can climb.
