Sugar Rush Xmas slot review
Sugar Rush Xmas is Pragmatic Play’s winter version of Sugar Rush, released in November 2023. It uses a 7x7 grid with cluster pays, so five or more matching symbols that touch form a win, and winning clusters tumble away. Spots where wins land become marked and can build multipliers up to 128x, and the maximum win is 5,000x the stake.

How Sugar Rush Xmas plays
There are no reels to read in the usual way. The 7x7 board fills with coloured symbols under a dusting of snow, and the game looks for groups of five or more identical symbols joined horizontally or vertically. Each winning group is paid and cleared, the symbols above fall into the space and new ones drop from the top, which can form another cluster straight away.
The grid remembers where you have won. Any position used in a win is marked, and the marks shape everything that follows in the tumble sequence.
- Cluster pays: five or more touching matches make a win, and larger clusters pay more.
- Marked spots: left behind wherever a winning symbol is cleared.
- Scatter: three or more start the free spins.
Multiplier spots and free spins
A second win on an already marked spot turns it into a multiplier starting at 2x. Each further win there doubles it, through 4x, 8x and so on, up to 128x on a single position. In the base game the marks clear once the tumbles stop, so the spots only matter within a sequence.
Free spins change that. Three or more scatters award between 10 and 30 free spins, depending on how many land, and during the round marked spots and their multipliers stay on the board for every spin. Over a long round, a section of the grid can fill with high multipliers, which is why the bonus carries most of the game’s potential. Scatters can retrigger the round for more spins.
