Ghost Glyph slot
Ghost Glyph is a Quickspin slot released in September 2020 and set in an old haunted house. It plays on a 7x7 grid with cluster pays and tumbles. Each tumble can drop a Ghost Glyph into an empty space, where it works as a wild and lights the next of five Ghost Urns, and the last urn is always the blue one that opens the free spins.
Editorial note: this guide explains how Ghost Glyph works. Rules, features and payout figures are set by the studio and can differ between operators and game versions, so check the game’s information panel before you play. How Ghost Glyph plays
There are no paylines here. Matching symbols that touch across the 7x7 grid form clusters, and every winning cluster is removed so that new symbols can fall into the space it leaves. These tumbles keep going until no new cluster appears, so a single spin can pay several times in a row.
The game’s wild and its route to the bonus both come from the Ghost Glyph, which can appear in the base game and in the free spins. After clusters clear, one glyph can settle into an empty space before the next tumble, never more than one at a time. When it is counted in a win it behaves as a wild, then it is removed and one more Ghost Urn wakes up above the reels.
Ghost Urns
Five urns are lined up before every spin, the first four drawn at random from yellow, green and red, and they are lit from left to right as Ghost Glyphs are used in wins. Each lit urn has its own effect. The yellow one scatters between 4 and 10 wilds across the grid. The green one picks a low-paying symbol and turns every copy of it into a different low-paying symbol. The red one picks a low-paying symbol and clears every copy of it away. The fifth urn is always blue, so reaching the end of the line always means the bonus.
Freespins Bonus and the Massive Wild
When the Blue Ghost Urn wakes up in the base game, the Freespins Bonus begins. Ghost Glyphs keep working inside the bonus, and a Blue Ghost Urn reached during the round adds more spins instead of starting a new one. Alongside the reels, the Paranormality Meter tracks the round’s progress across 22 levels. If it has reached at least Level 1 by the end, the last free spin brings a Massive Wild. Below Level 3, this large wild leaves the grid once it has been part of a win.
Ghost Glyph compared with Reactoonz
Reactoonz, released by Play’n GO in October 2017, uses the same 7x7 grid and also pays for clusters of matching symbols. Both games turn winning clusters into progress towards something bigger, but they store it differently. In Reactoonz every win sends energy to Gargantoon, and once he is fully charged his Quantum Leap sets off a chain of features. Ghost Glyph keeps its progress in glyphs and urns instead, so the effects arrive one urn at a time and the fifth always opens the free spins.
| Game | Released | Grid and pays | How wins build towards features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reactoonz | October 2017 | 7x7, cluster pays | Winning clusters charge Gargantoon for a Quantum Leap |
| Ghost Glyph | September 2020 | 7x7, cluster pays | Ghost Glyphs used in wins light five Ghost Urns, the last one blue |

Frequently asked questions
What is Ghost Glyph?
It is a Quickspin cluster game set in an old haunted house, launched in time for Halloween 2020. The ghosts each have their own ability, and the studio links them to the urns above the grid. Whenever a tumble brings no new cluster, any urns already lit are awarded in the order they were activated.
How does the Ghost Glyph slot work?
Each spin starts by setting out five urns at random, so the order of effects changes from spin to spin while the blue urn always closes the line. Clusters then tumble, glyphs appear in the gaps, and every glyph used in a win wakes the next urn.
When does the Massive Wild appear?
Only at the end of the free spins, and only if the Paranormality Meter has reached at least Level 1 of its 22 levels by then. If the meter finishes on Level 1 or 2, the Massive Wild is removed from the grid as soon as it has formed part of a win.
