Cosmic Crystals slot review
Cosmic Crystals is a space-themed gem slot from Iron Dog Studio, released in December 2016. It plays on five reels and three rows with 50 fixed paylines. Instead of free spins, it gives a free re-spin after any spin that lands no line win, and it keeps re-spinning until a line win appears.

How Cosmic Crystals plays
Bright crystals float in front of a dark, starry sky, and the symbol set is kept short:
- Card values from 10 to A are the low pays.
- Five crystals in different colours pay more, with the yellow crystal at the top of the paytable.
- The wild expands to fill its whole reel when it lands.
All 50 lines are fixed, so every spin covers the full set, and there is no scatter symbol. That keeps the action in the base game, where everything is built around the wild and the re-spin.
The re-spin feature
Cosmic Crystals needs no scatter or bonus symbol to start its feature, because a losing spin does the job. Whenever a paid spin finishes without a line win, a free re-spin follows, and the reels keep re-spinning until a line win lands.
Wilds make the re-spins more useful. A wild that lands on a spin with no win stays where it is for the re-spin, so the next spin starts with a wild already in place. The game is rated low volatility, which means wins tend to be frequent but modest.
