9 Pots of Gold slot review
9 Pots of Gold is the 2020 Irish hit from Gameburger Studios, released through Microgaming — now Games Global — and the founder of a whole series. It is a five-reel, three-row, twenty-line leprechaun game whose name describes its signature moment: collect enough golden pot symbols on one spin and they pay out together, with nine of them delivering the game’s headline prize.

How 9 Pots of Gold plays
The reels mix card royals with horseshoes, pints, fiddles and the leprechaun, who doubles as the wild. The pot of gold is the symbol that matters: it is both the scatter-style payer and the bonus key. Stakes are flexible and the pace is brisk, with the pots providing regular small hits between feature rounds.
Pot pays and the free-spins wheel
Land three or more pots anywhere and they pay an instant multiplied prize that scales steeply with the count — the full set of nine pots awards the game’s top scatter payout, worth thousands of times your line stake. Three, four or five pots also spin a bonus wheel that sets your free-spins count and attaches a win multiplier of up to 3x to the whole round, so the best wheels combine plenty of spins with the top multiplier.
RTP, volatility and top wins
RTP can differ between operators and game versions, so check the game's information panel in the version you play. Volatility is medium-high, and advertised top wins reach 2,000 times your stake. Sequels such as King Millions and Megaways extend the brand, but this original remains the simplest expression of it.
