How Crystal Vault plays
The setting is a lost island of explorers and strange animals, with a glowing crystal portal at its centre. Wins pay left to right along the 25 lines, from card ranks up to the seaplane, the animals and the explorer.
- Dinosaur wild: lands only on reels 2, 3 and 4 and stands in for the regular symbols.
- Crystal scatter: can land on any reel in the base game, and three or more start the bonus.
What sets Crystal Vault apart from most 25-line games is that its bonus does not just add spins. It adds whole reel sets, so the screen can grow from one grid to three.
The bonus respins and reel sets
Three, four or five scatters trigger 8 bonus respins on a single reel set. During the round, scatters land only on reels 2 and 4. Each time two scatters land, the respin counter resets to 8 and the next reel set opens, up to a maximum of three sets, which together play 75 lines.
- Reel set 1: the starting grid, with standard wilds.
- Reel set 2: opens on the first retrigger and brings 2x multiplier wilds.
- Reel set 3: opens on the second retrigger and brings 3x multiplier wilds.
Multiplier wilds can combine in one winning line, so three of them can multiply each other up to 27x. The round ends when the respins run out with no further retrigger. Each new set needs two scatters at once, so many rounds can finish on one or two sets.
