Deal or No Deal Slingo slot review

Deal or No Deal Slingo, listed in our lobby as Slingo Deal or No Deal, is a Slingo Original from Gaming Realms that first went live in 2016 under a licence from Endemol. Instead of a set of reels, it gives you a 5x5 grid of red boxes to clear by matching numbers from a single spinning reel. Every slingo moves you up the Prize Boost Ladder, which multiplies the prizes still in play, and the Banker can step in with an offer along the way.

How Deal or No Deal Slingo plays

As on the television programme, you first choose a lucky box, which is set to one side. The other boxes fill the grid, each one sitting under a number. A reel spins below, and a number matching one in the column above opens that box and knocks its prize amount out of the game.

A slingo is a full line of five cleared positions, running across, down or diagonally, and there are 12 such lines on the grid. Every slingo lifts you a rung on a ladder that changes the value of what is left.

  • Red boxes: cleared from the grid as numbers are matched, removing their prize amounts.
  • Prize Boost Ladder: climbed one rung for each slingo.

The Prize Boost Ladder and the Banker’s Offer

Each rung on the Prize Boost Ladder applies a multiplier to all of the prize amounts that are still in play, so the unopened boxes can grow in value as the round goes on. Clearing boxes pulls the other way, taking amounts off the board.

Once enough slingos are on the board, the Banker makes an offer for your box and you answer Deal or No Deal. Take the deal and the round ends at that figure; say No Deal and your lucky box is opened and its value paid, or you can spin on and the offer comes back later. Nothing you decide changes what your lucky box holds.
