Fish Eye slot review

Fish Eye is a Reel Kingdom slot for Pragmatic Play, released in January 2023, that takes the fishing formula to ancient Egypt’s Nile. It plays on five reels, three rows and 10 paylines. Unlike most fishing slots, its fish prizes can pay in the base game, and the maximum win is 10,000x stake.

How Fish Eye plays

Line wins pay left to right along 10 fixed lines. The low symbols are card ranks, and the premium set is an eye, a cat, a bird and a scarab. Reviews note that the game has no regular wild.

The fish symbols are the main story. Each carries a cash value, from a fraction of the stake up to 100x stake in the base game. Land four or more fish anywhere and their values are paid at once. Land more and a multiplier applies to the total, starting at x2 for five fish and rising to x2,000 if all 15 positions show fish. That sets Fish Eye apart from games like Big Bass Splash, where fish only pay inside the bonus.

  • Ante Bet: an optional setting that adds 50 per cent to the stake and puts extra scatters on the reels, so free spins can trigger more often.

Free spins with collectors and removers

Three, four or five scatters award 10, 15 or 20 free spins. In the round, fish carry higher cash values than in the base game, and the base game multiplier no longer applies. Instead, fish only pay when a collector symbol lands at the same time.

  • Collector: collects the value of every fish in view. Every fourth collector adds 10 more free spins.
  • Remover: takes the lowest fish value off the reels so the ones left can be higher, and adds one extra spin. Two removers together add three spins.

The remover is a feature you rarely see in this genre. It trims the weakest prizes from the reel set while the round runs, which can lift the average value a collector gathers later.
