Eye of Horus Slots
An Eye of Horus slot is built around Horus, a wild that expands to fill its reel, and free games in which each wild upgrades the lower-paying symbols. Our guides credit the original to Merkur Gaming, distributed in the UK by Blueprint Gaming, and the later games to Blueprint. Our guides to Eye of Horus slots we stock are listed below.

What makes an Eye of Horus slot
The online story starts with Eye of Horus, a German land-based game from Merkur Gaming that reached online lobbies through Blueprint in September 2016. It uses five reels, three rows and 10 paylines. Three or more gate scatters award 12 free spins, and every Horus wild that lands in the round turns the lowest-paying symbol left into the next one up, so a long round can end with the reels full of premium Egyptian symbols.
Blueprint’s follow-ups keep the expanding wild and the upgrade idea, then change how quickly it works. The Golden Tablet (2021) promotes symbols straight to the top-paying golden Eye instead of one step at a time, and our guide rates it high volatility against the original’s medium. Gambler (July 2020) asks you to pick one of four free spins set-ups, trading spins for symbols that start the round already upgraded.
How Eye of Horus slots differ
Layouts fall into three groups. The 10-line games, including Golden Tablet Gold Spins (March 2026) and Tablets of Destiny (February 2025), stay on the classic 5x3 grid. Eye of Horus Megaways (2019) and its later relatives show two to five symbols on each of six reels for up to 15,625 ways, and Legacy of Gold (May 2025) moves to a 6x4 grid paying 4,096 ways.
Extra mechanics sit on top of the ladder. In Rise of Egypt (September 2023), every four scatters collected in the free games add spins and lift a wild multiplier that can reach x5. Tablets of Destiny opens its bonus with a pick stage worth up to five upgrades, such as wilds on an outer reel. Legacy of Gold strays furthest: collect symbols on reel 1 or reel 6 gather cash values, and five unlockable collectors lead to a second bonus round. The two Gold Spins games add Gold Spins, earned by golden Horus wilds in the free games, on which only cash prize and wild symbols can land.
Our guides list top wins of 5,000x stake for Golden Tablet Gold Spins and Tablets of Destiny, 10,000x for Eye of Horus Megaways and Legacy of Gold, 10,100x for Gold Spins Megaways and 50,000x for The Golden Tablet Megaways. Those are limits, and a typical session can pay much less.
Where to start
Each of these guides follows a different branch of the series.
- Eye of Horus: the 2016 online original, where each wild moves symbols up one rung in the free spins.
- Eye of Horus The Golden Tablet: upgrades jump straight to the golden Eye, for a higher-volatility round on the same 10 lines.
- Eye of Horus Rise of Egypt: scatters gathered in the bonus can raise the wild multiplier as high as x5.
- Eye of Horus Legacy of Gold: money collect on 4,096 ways, with a choice of two free spins rounds once every collector is unlocked.
