Rainbow Riches Race Day slot review
Rainbow Riches Race Day is a Barcrest slot released in February 2021, set on a 6x4 grid with 4,096 ways to win and cascading wins. Its twist is a row of five racetracks above the reels: horse symbols move runners along their tracks, and the first horse to reach the finish pays the pot attached to its lane.

How Rainbow Riches Race Day plays
Wins form when three or more matching symbols land on adjacent reels from the left, in any row. Each win clears the paying symbols and lets new ones fall into the gaps, so one spin can chain several payouts before the grid settles. A gold coin wild stands in for the regular symbols to help complete those combinations, though it has no payout value of its own.
- Cascading wins that repeat until no new combination appears.
- Five horses, one for each racetrack above the grid.
The race meter runs on every spin. Whenever a horse symbol lands, its runner moves one step along its lane, and progress carries over between spins. A track needs five of its matching horse to finish. When it does, that lane’s pot is paid, which can reach up to 500x stake, and the tracks reset for the next race.
The Grand Derby free spins
Four or more Grand Derby scatter symbols start the bonus round. Before anything spins, each of the five pots is topped up with 10x stake, and you are then given a further 90x stake to share out between the lanes in whatever way you choose: spread evenly, piled onto one horse, or anywhere in between. That choice is the most unusual part of the game, since it lets you decide how the bonus is weighted; which horse finishes first is still down to chance.
There is no fixed number of free spins. The round keeps going, with the same cascading grid in play, until a horse crosses the line and its pot is awarded.
