Free Online Slots: What Is Actually Free
“Free slots” can mean two things: playing a game with play credits, or using free spins on a real-money game. On a UK-licensed site you need an account and an age check for both. At Fortune Games, free spins come from offers such as the Daily Wheel, which needs no deposit, and Fortune Fridays, which starts after a £10 first deposit.

Free-to-play versions
A free-to-play version, or demo, uses play credits, so you cannot win or lose money. It is a way to learn a game’s features and see how often a bonus round appears, but it cannot tell you how your own session will go. UK rules require licensed sites to verify your age before you can play one.
Free spins on real-money slots
Free spins are real spins on a real-money slot, at a stake set by the offer, paid for by the site, so they do not use your balance. Winnings are usually paid as bonus funds, which you need to wager before they can become real money, and offers often cap how much free spins can win.
Free spins at Fortune Games
- Daily Wheel: every registered player can spin the Daily Wheel once a day for a chance to win free spins on selected slots, with no deposit needed. A prize is not guaranteed; a spin not used by 23:59 expires, and free spins not used within 7 days expire. Winnings are paid as bonus funds with 10x wagering, and conversion to real funds is capped (up to £250; see the full terms if you have not made a deposit). Full T&Cs.
- Fortune Fridays: after your first deposit of £10 or more, spin the Mega Reel when you log in each Friday for 52 weeks to win 20 to 500 free spins on 9 Pots of Gold. Free spin winnings are capped at £8 per 10 spins. 10x wagering; the most you can convert to real funds equals your lifetime deposits, up to £250. Full T&Cs.
- Welcome Offer: 225 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza across your first three deposits of £10 or more (50, then 75, then 100). New players only. Free spin winnings are paid as bonus funds and are capped. 10x bonus wagering; the most bonus you can convert to real funds equals your lifetime deposits, up to £250. Full T&Cs.
Terms that apply to all offers: bonus funds can only be staked on the games listed on the Bonus Enabled Games page; withdrawing before you finish wagering forfeits remaining bonus funds and outstanding promotions; bonus funds and pending offers are removed if you have not logged in for more than 7 days; and offers are not added automatically to quick or in-game deposits, so contact support to claim one.
