Fortune Frog Skillstar slot review
Fortune Frog Skillstar is a Lightning Box Games slot released in November 2021, played on five reels and four rows with 40 paylines. Its free games are a coin hunt: Frog Wilds add up the cash prizes shown on coins, and the Frog5x wild pays them five times over. Each round of free games opens with the Skillstar mini-game, a short skill challenge whose score goes on a leaderboard.

How Fortune Frog Skillstar plays
Koi fish and bonsai trees are among the picture symbols, and A to 10 card values fill out the lower pays. Coins are part of the base game too, paying like the other symbols on the 40 lines.
The Lady Wild substitutes for the regular symbols but not for the bonus scatter, and it only appears in the base game. In the free games a different wild takes over, so the two halves feel quite separate: line wins first, then a round built around collecting prizes.
Volatility is rated high, which usually means longer runs without a win.
The Skillstar mini-game and free games
Three, four or five bonus scatters award 8, 12 or 20 free games. Before they begin, the Skillstar mini-game loads: you move a bridge up and down to help frogs across a waterfall, and it ends once three frogs are missed. Your score is then added to a leaderboard.
In the free games, a Frog Wild adds the prize values on coins to your win, and an Ingot it picks up adds more free games. The Frog5x does the same at five times the size, paying coin prizes five times over and bringing five times as many extra games from an Ingot.
That collect-and-multiply loop is what sets the game apart from a standard Asian-themed line slot.
