How Fishin’ Frenzy Fortune Spins plays
Standard play keeps the series’ classic set-up: a single set of 5 reels with 10 lines. Card ranks from A down to 10 make up the lower symbols, and a life ring, a fishing rod and a bird complete the regular paytable, with the fish and the fisherman alongside them. Each fish shows a cash value. Those values are collected by a fisherman landing on the same spin, which in standard play happens during the free spins. The boat is the scatter that starts that round.
Blueprint built a second way to spin into the same game. You can stay with the classic game or switch Fortune Play on, and the mode can be chosen at any point. The rest of this guide takes the two in turn: the free spins first, then the four-window mode.
Free spins with the fisherman wild
Three, four or five boat scatters start the free spins. During the round every fisherman who lands is wild, so he can stand in to complete a line, and he also pays a win for every fish showing on the reels at the same time. Two fish in view with one fisherman means two collected values on that spin.
Fortune Play and the Golden Catch fisherman
Fortune Play costs 20 times the bet for each spin and replaces the single set of reels with four windows that spin together. In this mode the fisherman does not wait for a bonus round: he is active on every spin, collecting fish values when he lands. Blueprint adds a special symbol to the mode, the Golden Catch fisherman. When he appears, he collects every fish in view across all four windows at once, so a fish showing in any window counts towards his win.
Fishin’ Frenzy Fortune Spins compared with Fishin’ Frenzy and Reel Time Fortune Play
The original Fishin’ Frenzy shares the 10 lines and the fisherman free spins, where any fisherman in view nets the values on the fish, and its round is started by three or more scatters. It has no Fortune Play mode. Fishin’ Frenzy Reel Time Fortune Play, released in September 2022, does have one, with four sets of reels, but its twist is different: each new fisherman upgrades the value of the lowest fish. In Fortune Spins, the mode’s extra is the Golden Catch fisherman.
| Game | Lines | Fortune Play mode | Fisherman feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fishin’ Frenzy | 10 | No | In the free games, any fisherman in view collects the fish values |
| Fishin’ Frenzy Fortune Spins | 10 | Yes: four windows, at 20x the bet | The Golden Catch fisherman collects across all four windows |
| Fishin’ Frenzy Reel Time Fortune Play | 10, on each of four reel sets in Fortune Play | Yes: four reel sets | In Fortune Play, each new fisherman upgrades the lowest fish value |

Frequently asked questions
Is Fishin’ Frenzy Fortune Spins the same game as Fishin’ Frenzy Fortune Play?
Yes, for this title. Blueprint’s own page for the game is headed Fishin’ Frenzy Fortune Play, after the name of its paid mode, while the game itself was launched as Fishin’ Frenzy Fortune Spins, and the game code on that page is the Fortune Spins one. A later Blueprint release, Fishin’ Frenzy Reel Time Fortune Play, is a separate game.
How many free spins does Fishin’ Frenzy Fortune Spins give?
Ten for three boat scatters, 15 for four and 20 for five. The number depends only on how many boats land on the spin that starts the round, and they count wherever they land in view, not just on a line.
What does a Fortune Play spin cost?
Twenty times your bet, and Blueprint’s own range for the mode runs from £2 to £200 a spin. UK rules cap any online slot stake at £5 a spin, or £2 for players aged 18 to 24.
