How Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Splash plays
The base game keeps things simple. Wins pay from the leftmost reel across 10 fixed paylines, and the pelican sits among the top-paying symbols, alongside a fishing rod, a lifebuoy and a tackle box. A, K, Q, J and 10 fill out the lower end. Fish symbols carrying cash values can land on the reels, and come into play in the bonus.
The golden boat is the bonus symbol. Land three or more anywhere in view and the free spins begin. Three, four or five boats award 10, 15 or 20 free spins.
Free spins and The Big Splash
Before the first free spin, a shoal of fish fills the screen and you pick one. Each fish hides an upgrade for the round, such as turning the top-paying symbols into cash collect symbols, so the round can start differently each time, and the extra picks keep reshaping it as it goes on.
During the free spins, the fisherman appears as a wild. When he lands, he collects the cash value of every fish in view on that spin and pays it as one prize. Each fisherman also moves a meter forward, and the meter is where the round builds:
- Two fishermen: an extra Big Splash pick, revealing another upgrade.
- Four fishermen: extra free spins, with a multiplier added to the fish values he collects.
- Further levels: more picks and more extra spins, until the meter reaches its final level at 12 fishermen, after which there are no more retriggers.
