How Dawn of Kings plays
Hacksaw sends Amy Dawn into the treacherous temple of the ancient kings, and the studio itself calls the trip an Egyptian adventure. A scarab beetle and figures of Egyptian gods are among the picture symbols, and Amy is the symbol that pays the most. Wins count from the leftmost reel along the paylines.
The Book symbol does two jobs. On any spin it is a wild that stands in for every paying symbol, and when three or more land together the same books count as scatters for the bonus games. A second scatter, the Best of Bonus symbol, counts only alongside Book scatters.
Book mechanic in the base game
Some base-game spins switch on the Book mechanic with no scatters needed. A random symbol becomes the Special symbol for that spin, and three to five copies of it land on the reels. After the normal line wins are paid, each copy spreads to cover the reel it landed on, and the spread symbols then pay anywhere along the lines, even with other symbols sitting between them.
Book of Dawn Bonus
Three Book scatters landing together start the Book of Dawn Bonus with 10 free spins. Before the first one, a single paying symbol is drawn as the Special symbol, and whenever it shows on at least three reels in one spin it spreads across them after regular wins are counted. Two books on a free spin add 2 spins to the 10 you began with, and three add 4. Four at once upgrade the round to Triple Book of Dawn, with 4 more spins.
Triple Book of Dawn Bonus
Four or five Book scatters in the base game go straight to Triple Book of Dawn, which begins with 12 free spins. The rules match the smaller bonus, but three paying symbols are drawn as Special symbols instead of one, and at least one of them is always a high-paying symbol. Books landing during the round add spins as before. Five books also bring a one-off cash prize, listed in the table.
Best of Book of Dawn Bonus
If the Best of Bonus scatter joins three Book scatters, three full Book of Dawn rounds play in a row, each result logged on a scoreboard beside the grid. Only the highest is paid, multiplied by your bet. Four or five books with that scatter run three Triple Book of Dawn rounds the same way.
Dawn of Kings compared with Book of Dead and Legacy of Dead
