Triple Double Da Vinci Diamonds slot review
Triple Double Da Vinci Diamonds is a High 5 Games slot that went on general release in 2019. It plays on five reels and three rows with 40 paylines, twice the 20 lines of the original Da Vinci Diamonds, and it keeps that game’s tumbling reels. Its twist on the original is split symbols: Leonardo’s paintings can land as double or triple symbols, which a meter called Spin-crease unlocks over time.

How Triple Double Da Vinci Diamonds plays
Every win sets off a tumble: the winning symbols vanish, the symbols above drop into the gaps and new ones fall in from the top. Each new win pays and sets off another tumble, so one spin can string several wins together.
The main symbols fall into three groups:
- Gemstones, which are the lower-paying symbols.
- Three Leonardo paintings, the Mona Lisa, Lady with an Ermine and Portrait of a Musician, which pay more and are the symbols that can split.
- The wild, which lands only on reels 2, 3 and 4 and stands in for every symbol except the free games scatter, double and triple paintings included.
Three free games scatters landing anywhere on reels 1, 2 and 3 award 10 free spins.
Split symbols and the Spin-crease meter
A double painting counts as two matching symbols on its payline and a triple counts as three, so a line of five triple paintings is scored as 15 of a kind. The logo makes the same point: the word Double is crossed out and Triple is painted over it.
The split paintings are not all there from the first spin. The Spin-crease meter on the left of the reels fills as your total stakes on the game add up, unlocking double paintings first and triple ones later, and the progress is saved between sessions. It measures stakes over the long run, so it is no reason to play longer or stake more than you planned.
