Starlight Christmas slot review
Starlight Christmas is Pragmatic Play’s winter edition of Starlight Princess, released in December 2022. It keeps the six-reel, five-row pays-anywhere grid, where eight or more matching symbols win and tumbles refill the screen, and adds snowfall and a cat as the scatter. Multiplier symbols reach 500x, and the maximum win is 5,000x the stake.

How Starlight Christmas plays
Lockets and coloured gems fill the grid. Character lockets are worth more than the gems, and the sun locket sits at the top of the paytable. There is no wild, so every win comes down to count.
Each win starts a tumble. Paying symbols are taken away and new ones fall into the spaces, which can chain several wins together. Multiplier symbols can land on any spin with values from 2x to 500x. They hold back until the tumbling has stopped, then their values are added and applied to everything won in that chain. If the spin produced no win, they simply go unused.
An optional ante bet raises the stake per spin in return for more scatters on the reels.
Free spins with a running multiplier
Four or more cat scatters start 15 free spins, and three more during the round add five. The important change from the base game is memory. Every multiplier that lands alongside a win is added to a running total for the round, and that total then applies to later wins too. It does not reset until the feature ends, so a total built up early can shape every spin that follows.
Anyone who has played Starlight Princess will find the rules close to familiar; the Christmas version is more about the look, with snow drifting across the reels.
