How Mayan Gods plays
Wins pay left to right along 20 fixed lines. When a win lands, the winning symbols vanish and new ones drop into their place. Red Tiger calls this Chain Reactions, and each new win in the same sequence adds one to a win multiplier, so the third or fourth win in a chain is paid at a higher multiplier than the first.
There is no free spins round. Instead, the game leans on its random features, which can arrive on any base-game spin. It is also a separate game from John Hunter and the Mayan Gods, which shares the theme and sits next to it in the tiles above.
The four random features
Each of the four features is tied to a character or event and can start at random:
- Mayan King: adds a large 2x2 wild to the reels, and can add extra wilds as well.
- Mayan Eclipse: transforms a group of symbols into matching ones, which can line up a win.
- Mayan UFO: beams away low-paying symbols and replaces them with high-paying ones.
- Mayan Shaman: awards a win multiplier and then a respin.
Because every feature changes the reels before wins are counted, each one can set off a Chain Reaction, and the cascade multiplier then builds on top of it. The features do not need scatters or a trigger symbol; they simply appear when the game selects them.
