EuroMillions HotPicks: What 4 Numbers Pays
Matching all four numbers in EuroMillions HotPicks Pick 4 pays a fixed £30,000. A Pick 4 play costs £1.50, the official odds are 1 in 46,060, and the prize is paid only when all four of your numbers are among the five main EuroMillions numbers drawn.

How Pick 4 works
You choose four different numbers from 1 to 50, or take a Lucky Dip. HotPicks uses the EuroMillions draws on Tuesdays and Fridays, but only the five main numbers count: the two Lucky Stars play no part, and you don’t need a EuroMillions ticket.
Why three out of four pays nothing
HotPicks is all or nothing. If three of your four numbers come up, the play wins nothing, because there is no smaller prize for a near miss. Here is how Pick 4 compares with the games either side of it:
| Game | You need | Official odds per play | Fixed prize |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pick 3 | All 3 of your numbers drawn | 1 in 1,960 | £1,500 |
| Pick 4 | All 4 of your numbers drawn | 1 in 46,060 | £30,000 |
| Pick 5 | All 5 of your numbers drawn | 1 in 2,118,760 | £1,000,000 |
Going from Pick 3 to Pick 4 multiplies the prize by 20 and makes the odds about 23.5 times longer. A prize is not guaranteed in any game.
Where the 1 in 46,060 figure comes from
There are 230,300 different ways to choose four numbers from 50. Each draw picks five main numbers, and any set of five holds exactly five different groups of four. So, of the 230,300 possible Pick 4 selections, just 5 win in a given draw: 230,300 divided by 5 is 46,060.
Is the £30,000 always paid in full?
Normally, yes: every winning Pick 4 play receives £30,000. The one exception in the official game procedures is prize capping. If the prizes owed to Pick 4 winners in a draw add up to more than the game’s prize fund, which is worked out from the value of Pick 4 entries, the fund is shared among the winning entries instead, rounded down to the nearest £1. The National Lottery says this happens only in exceptional circumstances.
