Deal or No Deal Lightning Spins slot review

Deal or No Deal Lightning Spins is Blueprint Gaming’s August 2020 slot based on the TV game show, played on five reels and three rows with 20 paylines. Its bonus brings the Banker and his red boxes into play, and those boxes can lead into Lightning Spins, a respin feature with sticky cash symbols where filling the screen wins the top jackpot.

How Deal or No Deal Lightning Spins plays

The base game is a straightforward line slot. The wild substitutes for the regular symbols, and the Banker’s telephone works as the scatter: it lands only on reels 1, 3 and 5, and three of them answer the call to the Deal or No Deal bonus.

There is also a direct route to Lightning Spins. Six or more cash symbols landing together in the base game start the feature straight away, without a single box being opened.

The Banker bonus and Lightning Spins

In the bonus you open red boxes from a set of 22, three at a time, and they reveal cash prizes or Lightning Spins. Along the way the Banker makes offers, and the choice is the show’s own: take the deal or keep going. Accepting a deal can also bring Lightning Spins, while turning down every offer and reaching the final box may reveal Lightning Spins Gold.

Lightning Spins starts with three spins in which only cash, jackpot and blank symbols appear. Every symbol that isn’t blank sticks in place and resets the count to three. Mini, Major and Mega jackpot symbols can land during the round, which ends when the spins run out or all 15 positions are filled, a full screen that wins the top jackpot. Lightning Spins Gold is a fixed three-spin version in which a cash symbol lands on every reel on each spin.
