Dead Canary slot review
Dead Canary is a Nolimit City slot released in December 2022, set deep in a mine. Its six reels start partly blocked by barriers, and clearing them through wins and exploding xBomb Wilds opens a 3-4-3-4-3-4 grid with up to 1,728 ways. The maximum win is 65,000x stake.

How Dead Canary plays
The grid begins small, with barriers covering many positions. Wins collapse, so winning symbols are removed and new ones drop in, and every collapse that clears a barrier gives the grid more room. Barriers come down in three ways:
- Winning combinations, each of which can clear the next barrier.
- xBomb Wild Multipliers, which substitute for regular symbols, then explode in a cross pattern and add +1 to the win multiplier for the next collapse.
- Wild Mining, which steps in when three, four or five matching symbols line up diagonally without a win and awards one, two or three xBomb Wilds.
That last rule is the game’s own twist: a spin that would otherwise pay nothing can still add wilds and open the mine further.
Canary Freespins, cages and vaults
Three scatter symbols trigger Canary Freespins, played on a wider 4-3-4-3-4-3-4 grid. The round starts with three spins, and the count resets to three whenever xBombs explode, so it keeps going while the bombs keep arriving.
The scatters sit in cages and collect values from the grid. A silver cage collects in an X shape around itself, while a gold cage collects in an X shape across whole rows. Each caged scatter has three hit points, and it pays out what it has collected when those points run out, after which a new canary takes its place. Four vaults in the corners start locked, collect coins and multipliers from the positions next to them, and open when an xBomb explodes beside them. Their contents are paid at the end of the bonus.
