How San Quentin xWays plays
Each spin starts on a 5x3 grid with 243 ways. What sets the game apart is the row of locked Enhancer Cells sitting above and below every reel. Land one or two bonus symbols on a reel and that reel’s Enhancer Cells open, revealing what is inside. Split Wilds can also land on any reel in the base game and split the regular symbols on that reel, which adds ways for that spin.
An open Enhancer Cell can show one of four things:
- A high-paying character symbol that joins the reel.
- A Wild that substitutes for regular symbols.
- Razor Split, which splits every symbol on that reel in two and doubles the ways. If both cells on a reel reveal it, the reel splits twice.
- xWays, which reveals a matching regular symbol stacked 4 high.
Lockdown Spins and Jumping Wilds
Three, four or five bonus symbols trigger Lockdown Spins, starting with one, two or three Jumping Wilds. During the round every Enhancer Cell stays open, so splits and stacks can appear on every reel for the whole feature.
Jumping Wilds move to a random position on each spin. When a Jumping Wild lands on a reel that has a Razor Split, its multiplier doubles and keeps that value for the rest of the round, up to 512x. Further bonus symbols during the feature add more spins and another Jumping Wild. A win of 150,000x stake ends the feature, as that is the game’s cap.
