How Arctic Valor plays
A win needs three or more matching symbols on neighbouring reels, and the run can start on any reel, so a match across reels 2, 3 and 4 counts while a gap breaks it. The symbols are:
- Three Valkyrie warriors, the highest-paying symbols. They can land stacked, and a stacked Valkyrie comes to life in a short animation.
- Swords, a bow, a helmet and a shield in the middle of the paytable.
- Red, blue and purple snowflakes as the lowest pays.
- A wild that substitutes for other symbols, and a scatter that starts the bonus.
Where many Norse slots centre on Thor or Odin, this one belongs to the Valkyries and the ice. The icicles hang from the top of the screen and grow as you play, and on any spin one or more can break off and crash onto the reels, covering up to three positions each. Crazy Tooth Studio calls this the Falling Icicle feature: when an icicle shatters, the symbols beneath it become wilds or it pays a cash prize instead.
The Arctic Valor Bonus free spins
Three or more scatters start the Arctic Valor Bonus, a round of seven free spins. The Icicle Feature triggers on every one of those spins rather than at random.
During the round, a full stack of Valkyries also makes the icicles above the reels grow larger, up to three symbols tall. Seven spins is a short bonus, so the round depends on the ice rather than on its length.
