Each draw picks six numbers from 1 to 49, then a seventh ball, the Booster Ball, from the 43 that are left. Some bets count the Booster Ball and some do not, so check which applies to yours.

How the 49s works
The 49s is a fixed-odds numbers bet, not a lottery. There are no tickets and no jackpot: you bet with a bookmaker that one to five numbers of your choice will come up, and every number you pick must be drawn for the bet to win. UK bookmakers are not allowed to take bets on the National Lottery, and the 49s gives them a numbers draw of their own. The chances of your numbers coming up, without the Booster Ball, are:
