Reel King Megaways slot review
Reel King Megaways is a 2020 slot from Inspired that takes the long-running Reel King brand and puts it on a Megaways grid of six reels, each showing between two and seven symbols, for up to 117,649 ways to win. Cascading wins light up a trail of reels, and filling it brings the Reel King himself to spin mini slots that lead into free spins with a multiplier that has no upper limit. The maximum win is 12,500x stake.

How Reel King Megaways plays
Each of the six reels can land anywhere from two to seven symbols, so the number of ways to win moves from spin to spin, up to 117,649 when every reel is at full height. There are no fixed paylines to track.
Wins trigger cascades: the winning symbols are cleared away and new ones drop into the gaps and can create another win from the same paid spin. Alongside the cascades, the game tracks lit reels on a trail, which Inspired calls advancing “Dings”. Spins and cascades push the trail forward, and completing it is what brings the Reel King feature into play.
The Reel King feature and free spins
When the trail is complete, the Reel King feature starts. The King spins one or more small three-reel slots, and what lands on them builds up the free spins that follow. Reel King is the first of three levels; extra cascades during the triggering spin can lift it to Super King and then Mega King, and each step up brings more mini slots and more free spins.
Once the mini slots have finished, the free spins begin. During free spins a win multiplier is in play, and it has no upper limit, so a long run of cascades can keep pushing it higher. Inspired’s own game page also lists a free spins gamble. It is optional, and the in-game rules explain how it works in the version you play.
This gives the game its own angle among Megaways slots: the route into the bonus rewards spins that keep cascading.
