Reel King slot review
Reel King is a Novomatic fruit slot, built on five reels, three rows and 20 paylines. The base game is classic fruit machine play with cherries, plums and lucky 7s, but the main event is the randomly triggered Reel King feature, where up to five Reel Kings can appear, each spinning a set of mini reels filled with coloured 7s.

How Reel King plays
Wins pay along 20 lines from left to right, and the paytable is pure fruit machine: cherries, plums and other fruit, gold coins, lucky 7s and playing card symbols. There are no reel modifiers, so it plays like the fruit machines it is modelled on.
- Wild: the jester’s hat is the wild. It lands on reels 3, 4 and 5, and can stack there, substituting for the regular fruit and card symbols.
- Fruit and 7s: the 7s sit at the top of the regular paytable, with the fruit and card symbols below them.
- The yellow reels: on any spin, the reels can light up yellow. When all five turn yellow together, the Reel King feature starts, whether or not that spin was a winner.
The Reel King feature
When the feature starts, between one and five Reel Kings appear across the reels. Each King carries a small set of three mini reels, and those reels hold only 7s in three colours: blue, yellow and red.
- Three matching 7s on a King’s mini reels pay a prize, with red 7s worth the most.
- A mix of one of each colour also pays.
- Prizes on the mini reels range from 2x to 25x your stake.
Every King spins at the same time, so with more of them on screen there are more chances to land a match on each spin. The feature keeps going while the mini reels keep producing wins, and ends after a spin where none of the Kings lands a winning combination.
