Golden Cryptex is a Red Tiger slot released in March 2020, played on five reels and three rows with just three paylines. The game turns on the Cryptex Code above the reels: complete it in the row marked by the Golden Pointer and Golden Spins begin, and the maximum win is 1,525x your stake.

How Golden Cryptex plays
With only three lines in play, Golden Cryptex feels closer to a retro fruit machine than a modern video slot. The 7 sits at the top of the paytable, followed by a bell, a star and a horseshoe, with A, K, Q, J and 10 below them, and a line win needs at least three matching symbols.
The code above the reels is made of five symbols, and in the base game all five are Aces. The Golden Pointer marks one row, normally the middle one, and the code is cracked when five Aces line up in it. Two features give a part-finished code another chance:
- Second Chances: when three or four Aces land in the pointer row, the reels still missing an Ace can respin, and if a respin that started with three Aces adds a fourth, a second respin follows.
- Golden Pointer Bonus: if more Aces land in the top or bottom row, the pointer can move to that row and give it a second chance instead.
Golden Spins and Cryptex Cash
Cracking the code in the base game awards 10 Golden Spins and upgrades the Cryptex Code from Aces to a higher-paying symbol. From then on, every crack pays a Cryptex Cash prize, adds three more spins and moves the code further up the paytable until it reaches the 7.
Each Cryptex Cash prize is worth the same as five of the code symbol on a line, so the prizes climb with every upgrade. In Golden Spins the code symbols no longer need the pointer row: one on each reel, in any position, cracks the code.
