How Gladiatoro plays
ELK’s story casts Toro as a Roman general who is betrayed by the Matador and rises through the arena as a gladiator. On the reels, each character has a job:
- Toro: a walking wild that gives a respin each time he steps one reel to the left, doubling the value of any coin he walks over.
- Matador: two or more trigger a respin in which the Matadors and coins stay sticky.
- Diaz: a collector who gathers every coin value in view and pays it out.
- Level-Up coin: adds rows to the grid, up to a maximum of six.
When Toro and a Matador are in view at the same time, Toro Goes Wild: Toro knocks every Matador off the reels and leaves a trail of wilds behind him.
The Gladiator Bonus
Three bonus coins anywhere in view start the Gladiator Bonus, played on a grid where only coins, special symbols and blanks can land. It begins with three spins, and any new symbol that lands resets the count to three.
Matadors raise coin values at random and Diaz collects them, and both can appear as persistent versions that act on every spin. Level-Up coins keep working in the bonus too, and ELK says filling the whole grid with symbols at the end of the round pays the 10,000x maximum.
Coins tie the characters together: Toro doubles them as he walks and Diaz cashes them in, so even the base game is built around collecting coin values.
