Gimme Gold Megaways slot review
Inspired released Gimme Gold Megaways in March 2021, putting a gold rush prospector theme on a six-reel Megaways grid with an extra reel across the top and up to 117,649 ways. Wins cascade, and in the free spins every winning cascade adds one to a multiplier that has no upper limit.

How Gimme Gold Megaways plays
The height of each reel changes from spin to spin, and a horizontal reel runs above them. When a win lands, the winning symbols are removed and new ones fall into their place, so a single spin can pay more than once. Three symbols matter most:
- Dynamite mystery symbols can land on any spin, and all of them reveal the same randomly chosen symbol.
- Wilds substitute for the paying symbols.
- Barrels are the scatters that lead to the free spins.
Fortune Bet, where it is offered, raises the stake by half to make the free spins more likely to trigger. It is optional and can be left off.
Free spins and the unlimited multiplier
Four or more barrel scatters start 12 free spins, plus 2 more for each scatter beyond the fourth. In this round the multiplier goes up by one with every winning cascade, and Inspired sets no upper limit on it.
Scatters can only land on the top reel during the free spins, and three or more there add extra spins. Because each winning cascade raises the multiplier, the round depends on chains of cascades rather than any single win, which is the main difference from the base game.
Megaways grids, cascades and mystery symbols all appear in other slots, but here they serve one idea: the longer a cascade chain runs in the free spins, the higher the multiplier climbs.
