Fish 'Em Up slot review
Fish 'Em Up is a fishing slot from Snowborn Games, released through Games Global in May 2023. It runs on 5 reels and 3 rows with 20 paylines, and its twist on the fish-collecting idea is the Catch Booster, a multiplier of up to 10x that grows with every 1UP symbol. The maximum win is 5,000x stake.

How Fish 'Em Up plays
Fish symbols carrying cash values of 0.2x to 50x stake land on the reels, and a fisherman Collect symbol gathers every fish in view and pays their total. On its own that is a familiar formula. What changes the maths here is the 1UP symbol: each one adds +1 to the Catch Booster, which starts at x1 and can climb to x10.
In the base game the booster is applied to the next collection and then drops back to x1, so a run of 1UPs before a fisherman appears is what makes a collection count. Wilds substitute for the regular pay symbols along the 20 lines between collections.
Free spins and the shell bonus
Three fishing boat scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 pay 1.5x stake and start 10 free spins. The Catch Booster carries over from the base game and doesn’t reset during the round, so every 1UP keeps building it. When it reaches x4, x7 and x10 you get 5 extra free spins each time.
The second feature is a respin bonus. It starts when a shell overlay lands on a fish symbol, giving you three respins. Every fish or prize symbol that lands sets the count back to three. Collect three of the same prize symbol to win that prize:
- Mini – 30x stake
- Midi – 100x stake
- Maxi – 500x stake, also awarded for filling the grid with fish
- Mega – 5,000x stake
