How Día del Mariachi Megaways plays
The reels mix card ranks with mariachi instruments such as maracas and guitars. Each spin draws a fresh number of symbols on every reel, so the count of ways to win changes from one spin to the next. Wins trigger Rolling Reels: the paying symbols clear away, new ones drop in, and the sequence keeps rolling for as long as another win appears.
Wilds stand in for the regular paying symbols, and two of the top reel’s special symbols create more. The scatter is a gold bar, and enough of them in view start the free spins.
Día del Mariachi Megaways: 6 reels, 2 to 7 symbols on each, up to 117,649 ways. The example shows a six-reel spin with 17,640 ways.
Sombrero Spins
Sombrero Spins can arrive on any spin. One or more positions on the horizontal top reel are marked with a sombrero, and if one of four special symbols lands in a marked position, its effect plays out straight away. The Piñata pays an instant cash prize. The Firecracker turns into a wild and spreads wilds to the symbols beneath it, which can fill a reel. The Rocket lands on the grid and converts up to three random positions into wilds. The fourth symbol, the Wheel, opens the jackpot round described below.
Jackpot Wheel
When the Wheel lands under a sombrero, the reels give way to a single spin of a prize wheel. The spin awards one of four fixed jackpots: Mini, Minor, Major or Mega. It has no separate trigger: it is one of the four Sombrero Spins outcomes.
Free Spins
Gold bar scatters landing together open a round of 10 free spins. The difference from the base game is on the top reel: sombreros stay in place for the whole round, so Sombrero Spins are active on every free spin, and Piñata prizes, extra wilds or the jackpot wheel can arrive on any of them.
Día del Mariachi Megaways compared with Cash ’N Riches Megaways
Cash ’N Riches Megaways, also released in 2022, uses the same six-reel grid with up to 117,649 ways and Rolling Reels, and it also offers four fixed jackpots. There, though, they come from a pick game in which 12 face-down tokens hide jackpot symbols and three matching ones win that prize. Here, a single spin of a wheel decides the jackpot, reached through a sombrero on the top reel. Its free spins add a win multiplier that climbs with each Rolling Reels win instead.
| Game | Released | Grid and lines | Jackpot feature |

| Cash ’N Riches Megaways | 2022 | 6 reels, up to 117,649 ways | Pick game: match three of 12 hidden jackpot symbols |
| Día del Mariachi Megaways | 2022 | 6 reels, up to 117,649 ways | One spin of a jackpot wheel from Sombrero Spins |

Frequently asked questions
What is the theme of Día del Mariachi Megaways?
It is a Mexican celebration with mariachi music at its centre. Instruments such as guitars and maracas share the reels with the card ranks, gold bars act as the scatters, and the sombreros that go with a mariachi costume become the markers on the top reel that decide when each special feature triggers.
Who developed Día del Mariachi Megaways?
All41 Studios built it, and Games Global released it in May 2022 as part of a batch of new games from its partner studios. All41 Studios has since become All For One Studios, and its old web address now leads to the new name.
What is the extra reel above the grid in Día del Mariachi Megaways?
It is a horizontal reel that runs across the top of the main grid and carries the special symbols. Positions on it can be marked with a sombrero, and only a special symbol landing in a marked spot triggers. During free spins the sombreros stay put, which is why every spin in the bonus can set off a Piñata, Firecracker, Rocket or Wheel.
