How Cygnus 5 plays
The theme is mystic and cosmic, built around a society that bends light through gateways in space. Wins form along ways from the leftmost reel, needing three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels. Gems in three shapes are the low-value symbols, falcons, snakes and cats sit above them, and a sun-and-moon emblem pays the most.
Each winning combination sets off an avalanche. Winning symbols clear, new ones drop in and the grid can gain a row, up to eight in all. Three features shape each sequence:
- Prism: activates when it reaches the bottom of the grid, turning every symbol along one or more lines into the same payout symbol or into wilds. If a beam hits another prism, a chain reaction follows.
- Multiplier: when it reaches the bottom or the leftmost column, it raises the active multiplier on the pillar beside the reels, then becomes a wild.
- Meteor Strike: a random event that swaps payout symbols for feature symbols.
The multiplier pillar gives Cygnus 5 its own angle within the series: it has six steps, and reaching the top awards the maximum win outright.
Free Drops and the Super Bonus
The bonus is called Free Drops. Landing a bonus symbol is not enough on its own: it has to reach the leftmost column to trigger the round. It awards 7 Free Drops, and the multiplier active at that moment carries into the round and stays in place for every drop.
More bonus symbols reaching the left column can add drops. A separate Super Bonus symbol leads to the Super Bonus, where every free drop opens with a Meteor Strike, adding feature symbols to the grid at the start of each drop.
