Leander Games launched Chilli Con Carnage in December 2020 on five reels and six rows with 50 paylines. Any base game spin can bring one of five random features, from stacked and random wilds to a multiplier wheel, and three Free Spins symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 start the Feel the Burn bonus with 10 free spins.

How Chilli Con Carnage plays
The reels are set on a chilli farm. Chillies in four colours make up the main pay symbols, a bottle of chilli sauce is the top-paying symbol, and card royals cover the lower pays. The wild substitutes for every symbol except the Free Spins symbol.
Before the reels stop on a base game spin, the game can add one of five features at random:
- Random Wilds: three or more wilds are placed on the reels.
- Stacked Wilds: one or more stacks of wilds, 2 to 6 symbols high, drop onto any reel.
- Win Multiplier: a wheel of multipliers spins, and the one it lands on applies to that spin’s wins.
- Symbol Upgrade: every royal on the reels becomes a chilli for that spin.
- Bonus Chance Boost: one or more Free Spins symbols are added to improve the chance of the bonus.
Feel the Burn free spins
Three Free Spins symbols in view on reels 1, 3 and 5 trigger Feel the Burn and award 10 free spins. The round is built around a collection meter: each Chilli Sauce Bottle that lands adds to it, and when it fills, every chilli of the lowest remaining colour is upgraded to the next colour up.
Those upgrades are permanent for the rest of the bonus, so the reels can carry better-paying chillies the longer the round goes on.
That split gives the game its own character: five modifiers in the base game, and gradual symbol upgrades in the free spins.
