Catch of the Day slot review
Catch of the Day is a fishing slot from Inspired that started out on retail machines and came online in February 2022. It plays on five reels and three rows with 10 win lines, set on a tropical coral reef. In its free spins the fisherman is wild and collects the cash values shown on every fish in view.

How Catch of the Day plays
The base game is a straightforward line slot. Wins pay on 10 lines, and the symbols are:
- A, K, Q, J and 10, the low pays.
- A hook, a boot, a lifebelt and a trophy, with the trophy the most valuable of the four and paying for just two on a line.
- Fish, which Inspired’s rules treat as mixed pays, so any mix of fish on a line counts.
- The fisherman, the wild, which lands only in the free spins and substitutes for every symbol except the scatter.
Each fish shows a cash value as a multiple of the stake. Inspired’s rules say those values can only be won in the free spins, so in the base game they are a preview of what the bonus could collect. Some versions offer an optional gamble feature after wins, which can be switched off.
Free spins and the fisherman
Three or more scatters anywhere in view start the free spins: three give 10 spins, four give 15 and five give 20. The fisherman is wild in this round, and whenever one lands with fish in view, it collects the cash value on each fish. If more than one fisherman lands on the same spin, every fish value is paid again for each of them.
The collecting idea will be familiar from other fishing slots, but Catch of the Day keeps it simple: the scatters set the number of spins, and the fishermen do the rest.
