How Buffalo Power: Hold and Win plays

Line payouts form from left to right across the 20 fixed lines. The buffalo is the wild, and it always lands stacked, so a single wild can cover more than one line at once. It substitutes for the regular paying symbols.

Two other symbols drive the features:

  • A mountain ridge scatter, which only appears on the middle three reels. Three of them award 8 free spins.
  • Bonus symbols and Power symbols, which together count towards the Hold and Win trigger.

In the free spins the stacked buffalo becomes more valuable: any line payout that includes a buffalo wild is doubled. The 2x does not build up from spin to spin, but it applies to every qualifying line throughout the round.

The Hold and Win feature

Landing six or more bonus and Power symbols at once starts the Hold and Win round. Those symbols lock in place and the remaining positions respin, with three respins on the counter. Each new bonus or Power symbol sticks and resets the counter to three, and the round ends when the respins run out or the grid is full.

Bonus symbols carry prize values, while the Power symbols decide the jackpot. The jackpots are fixed rather than progressive:

  • 2 Power symbols: Mini, 20x stake
  • 3 Power symbols: Minor, 50x stake
  • 4 Power symbols: Major, 150x stake
  • 5 Power symbols: Grand, 500x stake

Filling all 15 positions doubles the total for the round, which is the main thing that sets this game apart from simpler respin formats.
