How Book of Christmas plays
If you have played a book slot before, the base game will feel familiar straight away. Matching symbols pay along the 10 lines from left to right, and the line count is fixed, so every spin covers all of them. The festive part is in the symbols: Santa is the top-paying picture, followed by a wrapped present, a nutcracker and a sled, while A, K, Q, J and 10 fill in the lower values.
The book does two jobs. On a payline it is the wild and substitutes for the other symbols, and anywhere on the reels it counts as a scatter. Five books in one spin also pay 200x the total bet before the feature starts.

Free spins with an expanding symbol
Three or more books anywhere on the reels award 10 free spins. Before the first spin, the game picks one symbol at random to be the special expanding symbol for the whole round. Whenever enough copies of it land to make a win, it grows to fill every position on its reels and then pays as if it were a scatter, so it no longer needs to sit on a payline to count.
Which symbol you get makes a large difference. A low-value card can expand often and pay small amounts, while Santa as the special symbol lands less often but pays much more when it fills the screen. The pick is random and cannot be influenced.
