How Bomb Bonanza plays
The setting is a gold mine, and the paytable follows the dig. The card ranks J, Q, K and A pay least, then come a pickaxe, a gold pan and a sack of gold, with the bearded prospector at the top. Line wins are counted along 50 paylines that cross the square 5x5 grid.
The Wild Bomb is the wild, standing in for every symbol apart from the Free Spin scatter. Those scatters can only land on reels 1, 3 and 5, which means each of the three columns has to show one before the bonus starts. Even outside the bonus, a Wild Bomb can spread at random and turn the symbols around it into wilds.
Wild Bombs
A Wild Bomb lands as a single square, but in the base game it can grow at random into a pattern of 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 or a full 5x5, replacing whatever symbols sit in that area with wilds. At its largest the block covers the whole grid. Because the growth is random in the base game, the size of each spread changes from spin to spin; the free spins are where that size can be locked in.
Free spins
Three Free Spin scatters, one on each of reels 1, 3 and 5, start a round of 6 free spins. The round brings in a symbol the base game never shows: gold nuggets. Each nugget that lands is collected in a meter beside the reels and then cleared from the grid, so the symbols above drop down and fresh ones fill the gaps from the top. That drop can form a new line win within the same free spin, which gives each nugget a second job besides filling the meter.
Gold nugget levels
The nugget meter drives five levels. Every round starts at level 1, where the Wild Bombs stay at their basic 1x1 size. Filling the meter moves you up a level, and each step does two things: each step raises the wild block to a larger fixed size and adds extra spins. Level 2 brings 2x2 wilds and 4 more spins, levels 3 and 4 add 2 spins each with 3x3 and then 4x4 blocks, and level 5 adds one last spin with wilds that cover the whole 5x5 grid.
