Better Wilds slot review
Better Wilds is a 2020 Playtech slot with five reels, four rows and 25 fixed paylines, built around classic fruit machine symbols. It has no free spins; its one feature is a green diamond Special Wild that triggers respins, moving one place to the left on each respin and growing as it goes. The maximum win is 500x your stake.

How Better Wilds plays
The symbols come straight from a fruit machine: card values J to A, cherries, single, double and triple BARs, bells and sevens, with the seven at the top of the regular paytable. A regular wild substitutes for these symbols on any of the 25 lines.
There is no scatter and no free spins round, so everything beyond ordinary line wins comes from the Special Wild.
The Special Wild respins
The Special Wild can land only on reels 3, 4 and 5, and when one does, the respins begin. With each respin the diamond moves one position to the left, and from its second move it can expand up or down by one position, covering more of its reel as it travels.
The respins run until every Special Wild has moved off the left edge of the grid, and each new Special Wild that lands along the way keeps the feature going. A diamond that first appears on reel 5 has the longest journey, so it stays in play for the most respins.
