How Arthur's Fortune plays
King Arthur is the top-paying character, ahead of Guinevere and three knights, while royals from 10 to A fill the lower end of the paytable. The wild doubles as the scatter, so the symbol that completes lines is the same one that opens the free spins, and it pays more than any other symbol on a line.
Two features can strike at random in the base game:
- Arthur's Gold: a wheel of fortune spins up a symbol, and every copy of it turns into a golden wild for one spin. The wheel can keep going and convert up to ten symbols, which is the whole set of regular symbols.
- Merlin's Bonus: when his orb lands on reel 5, Merlin can award a prize of up to 25x your stake or a free spins round of 7 to 14 spins.
Free spins with wild conversions
Three, four or five scatter wilds award 7, 10 or 14 free spins, and the round starts with one, two or three symbols converted into golden wilds. Landing more scatter wilds during the round adds spins and conversions: two give one extra spin and one extra wild symbol, rising to four of each for five scatters.
Those extra conversions are added to the ones already made, so a long round can leave a large share of the paytable working as wilds. Merlin's orb can turn up during the free spins as well, with a larger cash prize or 1 to 14 extra spins.
