Wolfpack Pays slot review

Wolfpack Pays is a NextGen Gaming slot released in May 2016, played on five reels and three rows with 243 ways to win. It has no scatter symbol: the On a Roll feature turns each win into a free respin with a chance of extra wolf wilds, and a long enough run of wins leads to free spins.

How Wolfpack Pays plays

The symbol set is short. A wolf and a bald eagle share the reels with four gem symbols in red, yellow, blue and green.

The wolf is the wild and substitutes for the other symbols. Nothing on the reels opens a bonus directly, because there is no scatter; every winning spin feeds the On a Roll feature instead, which makes even a small win a step towards the bonus.

On a Roll and the free spins

Any win earns a free respin, and each win in the run adds another potential wolf wild to the reels for the next spin. The streak continues for as long as the respins keep paying, up to a fourth respin.

A win on that fourth respin opens the free spins, where all five reels can carry wolf wilds. Paw tokens act as spare lives in this round: a spin that doesn’t win uses one up, and the free spins end when they run out, so a run of wins keeps the round going.

Here the trigger is a streak rather than a single spin: four winning respins in a row, after the win that starts the chain.
