This is an educational guide to how casino games work. House edge and payout figures are typical values and vary by game, rules and operator. No casino game can be beaten in the long run — play for entertainment, never as a way to make money, and only stake what you can afford to lose.
What Is Let It Ride?
Let It Ride is a relaxed casino poker game with a clever twist — you get to take money back if you don’t like your hand. Here’s how it works.
How it works
You start with three equal bets and are dealt three cards, with two community cards dealt face down. The aim is to make a poker hand of a pair of tens or better using your three cards plus the two community cards.
The “let it ride” decision
This is the heart of the game. You get two chances to withdraw one of your three bets — once after seeing your cards, and again after the first community card is revealed. If you’re confident, you “let it ride” and keep the bet in play.
The odds
With optimal play the house edge is about 3.51% — higher than blackjack, but lower than Caribbean Stud. The skill is knowing when to pull a bet back. See Caribbean Stud Poker, three card poker rules and what video poker is.
