Lotto Prize Breakdown: What You Win for Every Match

The UK Lotto changed its prize structure on 7 June 2026, moving to a two-round format with revised payouts. Here is the full breakdown of what each match wins under the current rules, along with the odds.

The full Lotto prize table

Match Prize Odds
6 main numbers Jackpot (from ~£2m) 1 in 45,057,474
5 + Bonus Ball £1,000,000 1 in 7,509,579
5 main numbers £1,000 1 in 144,415
4 main numbers £50 1 in 2,180
3 main numbers £10 1 in 97
2 main numbers £1 1 in 10.3

Figures reflect the structure from 7 June 2026. Before that date, Match 3 paid £30, Match 4 around £140, Match 5 £1,750, and Match 2 was a free Lucky Dip rather than £1.

How Lotto works

You choose six numbers from 1 to 59 for £2 a line, with draws on Wednesday and Saturday at around 8pm (tickets close at 7:30pm). The Bonus Ball only matters if you've already matched five main numbers. For the entry tier specifically, see what you win for 2 numbers on Lotto.

Rollovers and Must Be Won draws

If nobody matches all six, the jackpot rolls over — up to five times. The next draw is then "Must Be Won", and if there's still no jackpot winner the money rolls down to boost the lower tiers. For more on the top prize, see the Lotto first prize.
