Gold Train slot review
Pragmatic Play released Gold Train in 2017 as a three-reel, three-row classic with three paylines. Three silver tickets send a gold train across the screen, and every wagon it pulls pays a random prize. Golden Upgrade tickets that land on reel 3 add wagons to that train before the bonus begins.

How Gold Train plays
This is a fruit machine style game on a 3x3 grid with just three lines, and the symbols are a railway take on the classic set:
- Single, double and triple BARs drawn as rail tracks.
- Bells, red sevens, flags and a conductor’s hat.
- The gold train, which is wild and the top-paying symbol.
- Silver tickets, the scatters that start the bonus.
- Golden Upgrade tickets, which land on reel 3 only.
The base game builds towards the bonus. Each Upgrade ticket that lands adds wagons to the train, and every wagon is another prize when the bonus starts, so spins that miss a line win can still add something to the next ride.
The train bonus
Three silver tickets anywhere on the reels start the bonus. A gold train then passes along the screen, and each wagon it pulls reveals a random cash prize; the prizes are added together and paid at the end. Pragmatic Play’s own description says the train starts with five wagons and that each Upgrade ticket collected adds five more.
Pragmatic Play calls this a progressive bonus, because the train grows with the Upgrade tickets gathered in the base game. That is what sets Gold Train apart from a plain three-line classic: what you collect between bonuses decides how long the next train will be.
