Editorial note: this is a general guide to dragon slots at Fortune Games. Slot rules, features and RTP can vary between operators and game versions, so always check each game's information panel before you spin. Slots are games of chance — nothing here is a prediction of results, and no strategy changes the odds.

Dragon Slots

A dragon slot puts a dragon at the heart of the game, as its title creature, its wild or the power behind its main feature, in settings that run from lantern festivals to medieval fantasy. Our guides credit Red Tiger with Dragon’s Luck, Dragon’s Luck Megaways and Clash of the Beasts, and Reel Kingdom with both Floating Dragon games, released through Pragmatic Play. Others come from Big Time Gaming, Lightning Box, Pragmatic Play and Playtech’s Origins studio. Our guides to dragon slots we stock are listed below.

What makes a dragon slot

Several of these games make the dragon the wild. Dragon Palace’s red dragon substitutes for every symbol except the palace scatter, and in free spins it can multiply a win it joins by up to x15. Dragon Tiger’s dragon wild lands only on reels two, three and four, and Dragon Spark’s golden dragon wild burns away its whole row when it forms part of a win.

Elsewhere the dragons act on their own. The twin dragons of Dragon’s Luck can turn groups of symbols into matching sets at random, and the two dragons of Dragon’s Luck Megaways can wake after a coin reveal to flip the coins to a better-paying symbol. Clash of the Beasts pits a dragon against a tiger, and in its Dragon Spins round the dragon can nudge the reels and rows to line up wins.

Settings vary as much. Koi and lotus flowers feature in Dragon Palace and Floating Dragon, while Dragon Born is medieval fantasy and Dragon Spark is set in an icy cave. Lock-and-respin rounds recur: in Floating Dragon and Area Link Dragon, special symbols lock in place and each new one resets the respin count.

How dragon slots differ

The layouts range widely. Dragon Tiger from Pragmatic Play deals 1,024 ways on five reels of four rows, and Clash of the Beasts from Red Tiger keeps to 40 fixed paylines on six reels and five rows. Dragon Spark turns its 5x5 grid of 3,125 ways into a 5x7 grid of 16,807 ways for free spins. Dragon Born, an early Big Time Gaming Megaways title, changes its reel heights at random every spin for up to 117,649 ways.

Bonus triggers differ as well. Dragon’s Luck Megaways has no wilds or free spins, so its Dragon Coins and Mega Coins work on normal spins. Dragon Spark’s three golden eggs move down a step with each collapse and start 10 free spins once all three reach the bottom row. In Clash of the Beasts, one tiger claw and one dragon claw start Clash Spins, the only round with the yin-yang wild.

Our guides rate Dragon Tiger, Dragon Spark and Dragon’s Luck Megaways high volatility and Clash of the Beasts medium, with maximum wins of 10,000x stake in Dragon Spark and 1,286x stake in Clash of the Beasts. Both figures are caps, not predictions.

Where to start

  • Dragon’s Luck: Red Tiger’s 2018 ten-line original, where the top line prize goes to a line of 138s, a number our guide links with prosperity in Chinese tradition.
  • Floating Dragon: Reel Kingdom’s 2021 lantern-festival game, built around a Hold & Spin of money pearls with cash values or jackpot tags.
  • Dragon Palace: Lightning Box’s 243-ways game from September 2016, where palace scatters can start up to 20 free games.
  • Area Link Dragon: a five-reel, fixed-line game in classical Asian dragon imagery, whose respin feature works over a marked region of the reels.
  • Floating Dragon Megaways: Floating Dragon’s pearl Hold & Spin and free spins, carried over to Megaways reels whose heights vary from spin to spin.

All values (Bet Levels, Maximum Wins etc.) mentioned in relation to this slot game are subject to change at any time.

Frequently asked questions

What are dragon slots?

They are slot games built around a dragon, which can be the wild, as in Dragon Palace and Dragon Tiger, or the source of a feature, as with the two dragons of Dragon’s Luck Megaways. Their settings range from the lantern festival of Floating Dragon to the medieval fantasy of Dragon Born.

Which dragon slots can I play at Fortune Games?

Every game in the A to Z list above is in our lobby, including Dragon’s Luck, Floating Dragon and Area Link Dragon. Players must be 18 or over.

Do dragon slots give a better chance of winning?

No. Dragons, pearls and coins are only the theme: every slot is a game of chance, each spin’s result is random, and the RTP is shown in each game’s information panel.
