How Doubleup Ducks plays

The reels are dressed for a day at the fair. Balloons, fish and raffle tickets share them with ducks and a row of stuffed toys: a panda, a monkey, a tortoise, a hippo, a lion and a giraffe. None of the regular symbols pays more than the raffle tickets.

Line wins are counted on the lines in play across the 5x3 grid, and the key facts table above gives the top line prize. Two symbols carry the special jobs. The elephant is the wild, and the scatter is the symbol that opens the free games. Each has a section of its own below, and a gamble option follows any win.

The elephant wild

The elephant replaces every symbol except the scatter, so it can finish a line of raffle tickets, giraffes or balloons. Whenever it substitutes in a winning line, Eyecon doubles the prize for that line. As a worked example, a line that would pay 50p without the elephant pays £1 with it in place, and the same rule doubles a £2 line to £4.

Free games with tripled prizes

Three or more scatters start the free games. Every prize won during the round is paid at three times its normal value, so a win that would be worth 80p in the base game is worth £2.40 there. The feature can be triggered again while it runs, up to 15 times in one round, which is the cap Eyecon sets on retriggers.

Doubleup Ducks compared with Shaman’s Dream and Fluffy Favourites

Shaman’s Dream follows almost the same rule book. It sits on Eyecon’s 5x3 grid with 25 lines, a wolf takes the wild’s role and doubles the wins it joins, and its free games triple every prize and can be retriggered up to 15 times. The opening award there is 15 free games for three or more dreamcatchers, and Eyecon rates it medium. Fluffy Favourites keeps the doubling elephant but scales its round to 15, 20 or 25 free games for three, four or five elephant scatters, triples the line wins, adds a Toybox Pick bonus with one pick for each claw, and carries Eyecon’s high rating. Of the three, Doubleup Ducks is the one rated low.

Game Eyecon volatility rating Wild that doubles wins Free games
Doubleup Ducks Low Elephant Three or more scatters; every prize tripled; up to 15 retriggers
Shaman’s Dream Medium Wolf 15 for three or more dreamcatchers; every prize tripled; up to 15 retriggers
Fluffy Favourites High Elephant 15, 20 or 25 for 3, 4 or 5 elephant scatters; line wins tripled; up to 15 retriggers

Frequently asked questions

Is Doubleup Ducks Jackpot a different game from Doubleup Ducks?

Our lobby treats them as two titles. Doubleup Ducks Jackpot is filed with the jackpot games, while the standard Doubleup Ducks is filed with the slots. Everything on this page, from the elephant wild to the tripled free games, describes the standard version, so check Doubleup Ducks Jackpot’s own information panel for its terms.

What does the gamble option do in Doubleup Ducks?

After a winning spin you can choose to gamble the prize instead of collecting it. A correct pick doubles the amount, and a wrong pick loses it. The gamble is optional, so you can also keep the win as it stands and carry on spinning.

Does Doubleup Ducks let you choose the number of lines?

Yes. Doubleup Ducks lets you set the number of lines anywhere from 1 to 25 before you spin, so a spin can cover a single line, all 25 or any number in between.
